This drawing and many like it appeared in The American Spectator (at a very small size, at about 3 inches across); it was designed as a standing head for a column originated by Bob Tyrrell, the magazine's founder. The Spectator played a major part in the scandal that almost toppled the Clinton presidency. In the end, it seems the magazine was toppled, not the president. The tech guru, George Gilder bought it, and has changed its nature considerably. But it still uses the above art from time to time.. |
